My Hero, My Miracle, My God...

My Hero

My Miracle

My God is always there and always GOOD!
On the beautiful afternoon of February 25, 2010 my life was forever changed. We were outside enjoying the beautiful afternoon when the unthinkable happened.
Bill and the boys had been riding horses down at the round pen and headed back towards the house. Charles was walking and Corley was riding his John Deere Gator. They stopped to throw some rocks in the creek. Bill watched them for a few minutes and then they all headed towards the house. Well, Corley's Gator got stuck and he started throwing rocks in the creek again. Bill sent Charles to go get him and the next thing we know Charles is screaming that Corley feel in the creek. Bill immediately jumped in after him, but he was not breathing. When I looked down and saw Bill holding him I honestly thought my precious little boy was gone. Bill immediately did CPR and then I heard the most glorious sound EVER. Corley started crying!! This all happened in a matter of maybe 2 minutes, but it seemed like forever. So, to make a very long story short Corley got to take a helicopter ride to Cooks in Fort Worth. Mommy and Daddy had to make the long 3 hour drive that seemed like 10 hours. Corley was perfectly fine and we came home the next morning.
My Hero, Charles was such a BIG BOY and made the 911 call. He remained calm the whole time and answered all of the operators questions. He even gave them our address, but since we live in the country they didn't know how to get to us. Mr. Charles was SO AMAZING that he is going to receive and award from the County Judge and the end of the year awards ceremony at school(SHHH....don't tell him because it is a SURPRISE!!). I am so proud of him and how he saved his little brother life!
My Miracle, is perfectly healthy and happy. He is perfect in every way because our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was with him that day and everyday.
My God was right beside us all during this very scary time. He gave Bill the composure to administer CPR and keep his cool. He gave me the ability to cry out in prayer to Him and to make the difficult decision to let our little boy go on a helicopter ride all by himself. He gave Charles the ability to scream for help and to make the 911 call. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
